Talcum is used to fill polyester and epoxy resins to produce (amongst other things) artificial stone and fillers. Talcum reduces shrinkage during cure. It improves the sandability of fillers, but reduces the hydrolytic resistance.
Talcum does not contain asbestos or quartz.
A powder filler for polyester and epoxy resins:

- Improves mechanical properties
- Thickens resins
